You Are Here

Darkness takes on many forms.

It can overcome us in the midst of the unknown, when we are barely able to see inches in any direction. It can come when we are surrounded by tragedy and devastation. It may consume us as we are confronted by our very own sinfulness. However we find it, the feeling is beyond awful, bringing about a sense of loneliness that seems unbearable, and we imagine it will never, never end...

We want a guarantee, of some kind. We are desperate to know that it, we...everything is going to be okay! And, we have one. We can...know.

Yes, we have been called out of this darkness, and into His wonderful light. The darkness has already been overcome! Though it may not appear quite bright from where we now stand, we can, in actuality, rejoice nonetheless! It will not be because of what we see with our eyes, nor that our circumstances have changed even the slightest, or that we can get any one thing right. No, indeed, all of this might remain much the same. It is simply what is true that allows us to endure.

He is right here with us. Every moment.

And He, alone, is our Light.
